Staff Nurse

Job Summary:
Altrus Healthcare is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and skilled nursing professionals to provide high-quality patient care across multiple critical care and specialty units, including Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Operating Theatre (OT), Suite Rooms, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency Room (ER).

Key Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring safety, comfort, and emotional support.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patient conditions, document observations, and report significant changes promptly.
Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies.

Department-Specific Responsibilities:


NICU:

  • Care for premature or critically ill newborns, including ventilator support and feeding assistance.
  • Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, and growth parameters.
  • Educate parents on neonatal care and discharge planning.

PICU:

  • Deliver specialized care for critically ill children with acute or chronic conditions.
  • Operate and monitor advanced life support equipment.
  • Support families during critical situations with empathy and clear communication.

Operating Theatre (OT):

  • Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring sterile techniques and smooth workflow.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and instruments before and after procedures.
  • Monitor patient vitals during surgery and provide immediate postoperative care.

Suite Room:

  • Provide personalized care for inpatients in private settings.
  • Administer medications, coordinate tests, and manage discharge planning.
  • Offer comfort measures for recovery in a comfortable, upscale environment.

ICU:

  • Manage patients with life-threatening conditions requiring intensive monitoring and care.
  • Operate ventilators, infusion pumps, and other critical care equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans.

ER:

  • Respond quickly to medical emergencies and provide triage care.
  • Stabilize patients with trauma, cardiac arrests, or other urgent conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals in high-pressure situations.
